Supporting Homeowners Through Divorce: My Role as a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert in Washington
A New Chapter in My Real Estate Practice: Supporting Clients Through Divorce Transitions
Real estate has always been about more than homes for me—it’s about people, stories, and the life transitions happening behind every move.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients through some of the most exciting moments of their lives: first homes, growing families, dream upgrades, and new beginnings. But I’ve also seen that not every real estate journey starts from a place of celebration. Some begin during seasons of change that are deeply emotional and incredibly complex.
That’s why I’m so grateful to share a new chapter in my own professional journey.
I’m now a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE).
This additional training allows me to better serve homeowners who are navigating the process of selling a home during divorce. These are situations that require not only real estate expertise, but also sensitivity, neutrality, and a clear understanding of how to move forward in a way that supports everyone involved.
My goal in this role is simple: to be a steady, neutral guide during what can often feel like an overwhelming process.
Divorce-related real estate isn’t just about listing a home. It often involves timing considerations, communication between parties, legal coordination, and making decisions during an emotionally charged season. Having specialized training helps me bring structure to that process, so clients don’t have to carry it alone.
What matters most to me is that people feel supported, respected, and clear on their options. I want every client I work with in this space to feel like they have someone who is calm, fair, and focused on helping them move forward in a healthy and practical way.
If you or someone you know is going through a divorce and needs to sell a home—or if you’re a family law attorney looking for a trusted real estate resource—I would be honored to be a point of connection and support.
